Repeated Patterns

Although my work can be on the abstract side from time to time, I’ve found myself noticing patterns that surround me.

Just like in nature, architecture also has plenty of patterns if we pay attention. More often I notice these patterns, more intrigued I am at what I see. The repeated patterns and organisation are becoming more comforting to my currently chaotic mind.

The image that I am sharing today is my first attempt at abstract photography. By carefully grouping the details of one of the architecture at the City of Arts, and removing any other distracting details, I am able to create an image that is truly abstract.

In order to further highlight the details, I played with shadows by further enhancing them. The highlights were manipulated as little as possible. This enhances the curves and the details within the architecture.

The original image captured details are below:

I am a photographer currently living in London. Most of my work is in black and white because which I've found to be the best outlet to express myself. With patience a rather unique way of seeing the beauty around me, I enjoy creating a world that is unique to me.
