Hope you guys are having a wonderful Saturday!!
Sorry about going AWOL. I tend to disappear when life gets hectic or when I feel uninspired. So before I disappear again, I’d like to say that I’ll try to post twice a week.
At the beginning of every year it is customary that we write out our resolutions. Even though I am very late at writing this, I thought I’ll write mine too.
First I’d like to look back at the last year. Like every year, it had its up and down. However, I am thankful for being healthy enough to see the year through. Not only that, I am thankful to have wonderful bunch of individuals in my life who make me laugh, help me through the tough times, inspire me and quick my butt when needed to and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
During the last year, I was able to cross a few things that I wanted to do off my list. Instead of adding new things to the list this year, I’d like to do things a little differently.
My plans for 2015 include:
Finish what I started – I’ve started a few personal projects last year that I’d like to complete. Even though I did not rush to complete them, I’d like to see them through.
Travel – Even though this have been on the list for so many years, sometimes it is easier said than done.
I have a few favourite places that are on top of the list but I’d like to first start in my backyard.
Stop over thinking – There’s something that can be said for overactive imagination but overthinking every action stops you more than anything else. So for this year, I’d like to do the opposite and grab every opportunity as they come.
Appreciate my progress – I’ve worked hard to get where I am with my photography but I still think I am not quiet there yet. Instead of thinking of where I should be, I’d like to appreciate where I am and know that I’ve come a long way and progress and striving for better is never a bad thing.
Get less distracted – In this day and age of the internet, it is so easy to get distracted. Not only I am easily distracted but Social Media (at least the hundreds I have downloaded on my phone) just don’t help. My friend has just got me hooked to Snapchat and I suspect that he’s only sends me those little notes when he’s bored. But that’s a story for another day.
Get things done – Here’s the big one. Instead of putting things off, I’d like to just get over it and get them done when they need to instead of putting them off until the next day, next week etc…
Processing – Everyone knows now that I am not a huge fan of photoshop but I’ve promised myself that this year we will get better acquainted and eventually maybe even best friends.
So tell me, what promises have you made yourself this year?
